API 5L Grade B Seamless Steel Pipes

API 5L seamless steel pipe is produced through a seamless manufacturing process, usually through hot rolling, cold drawing or rotary extrusion. Seamless pipes generally outperform welded pipes in terms of surface finish and dimensional accuracy.

API 5L carbon steel pipe is a seamless or welded steel pipe produced in accordance with the American Petroleum Institute (API) 5L specification and is mainly used for the transportation of oil, natural gas and water.

API 5L PSL 1 steel pipe is the first level in the API 5L specification, which means that the mechanical properties and material requirements of the pipe meet the first level requirements of the API 5L specification. Represents that the mechanical properties and materials of the pipe meet the first level requirements of the API 5L specification. This demonstrates the high quality and reliability of pipes of this grade.

API 5L PSL 2 carbon steel pipe is available in sizes from 1/2" to 48" NB (nominal bore) and from Sch 10 to XXS (extra strong). The yield strengths of these pipes range from a minimum of 245MPa (35,500 psi) to a maximum of 450MPa (65,300 psi), depending on the steel grade.

API 5L specifications regulate pipeline transportation systems for the natural gas and oil industries and are widely applicable to the transportation of natural gas, oil, and water.

GNEE offers carbon steel API 5L x42, x52, x60, x65 and x70 line pipe in a variety of lengths, outside diameters, inside diameters, sizes and wall thicknesses to meet project needs. The minimum yield strength of API 5L steel pipe is 485MPa. The main components of API 5L seamless carbon steel pipe are carbon and manganese, and the alloy also contains 0.15% Nb, V and Ti.
